Nick Foles – Individual Highlights and “The Injury”

Arizona quarterback Nick Foles was rolled up on during Saturday’s contest against Washington State, knocking him out of the game in the second quarter.
According to ESPN.com, he’s expected to miss two-to-three weeks with a dislocated kneecap.
Here is a look at what Foles did against the Cougars, including the play he was injured on (although hard to see).

Foles’ stats vs WSU: 6-7, 71 yds, 0 td, 0 int
* The senior entered the contest second in the Pac-10 with 1,517 passing yards on the season.

Jeff Tuel – Postgame Interview

Washington State sophomore quarterback Jeff Tuel continued to progress as a young signal-caller against Arizona.  Under duress the entire game, Tuel accumulated over 300 yards of net offense, and threw for 200 or more yards .
(NOTE: WSU has only 7 200+ yard performances in the previous two season combine.)

Tuel’s stats against UA: 18-32, 257 yds, td, 2 int
* Tuel ranks second in the Pac-10 with 1,735 passing yards this season.  His 237 attempts are 18 more than the next closest person.

jtv: “The Hit”

13 10 2010

If you didn’t make the trip to the Washington State-Oregon game (shame on you!), that loud collision sound echoing out of Pullman last Saturday around 2:30 p.m. was Cougar freshman safety Anthony Carpenter colliding with Duck freshman runningback Kenjon Barner.
See who won….

(NOTE: Also, I included Daniel Blackledge’s touchdown catch from Jeff Tuel.  There are more highlights to come, but chew on these for now.)
